Flathead Marines
About Us
Started in 2008, the Flathead Marines is a local organization of U.S. Marines and those who have served with Marines.
Our goal is to foster camaraderie among Marines and their families, to support active duty Marines, to assist Marine Corps Programs that benefit the Valley we live in, to instill Esprit De Corps and Marines Corps Values in our local Community, and to provide support for other veterans’ organizations, other veterans, and their families.
The Flathead Marines have become a close family that has grown to over 250 Marines here in the Flathead. Our military service spans from World War II to the most recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We have hosted the Flathead Valley Marine Corps Birthday Ball for the past 10 years. The attendance for the 244th Birthday Ball was over 320 Marines and guests. Visit our Website, Email, or call us for details on the 246th Birthday Ball.
We have fundraised and donated over $30,000 to veterans organizations such as: Montana Veterans Home, Northwest Montana Veterans Food Pantry, National Association of Wounded Warriors, Montana Wounded Warriors, Operation Finally Home, Pin-Ups for Vets, and Socks for Heros, as well as donated over 1,000 lbs. of food to the Veterans Food Pantry, and donated cash, toys, manpower assistance, and facilitated toy drives for the Toys for Tots program.
We have assisted the local VA HUD/VASH program, individual veterans, and the Northwest Montana Veterans Food Pantry with volunteer labor assistance needs.
We assist Marines and/or their Dependents when they are in need with limited financial and unlimited Semper Fidelis support.
We perform the ongoing, annual, and event maintenance at the Flathead County Veterans Memorial in Kalispell’s Depot Park.
We annually assist Kalispell’s Parks & Rec. Dept. with labor needs for various projects.
When we are able, we provide Color Guards for local parades and for veteran’s events in the valley.
We support other local groups such as Flathead County Search & Rescue, Kalispell Lakers Baseball, Special Olympics, and Special Friends Advocacy.
We own and run the oldest ongoing Food Booth at the NWMT Fair for the last 5 years.
